How do I restore my "Remove Ads" purchase after reinstalling the app?

On the home screen, tap the "🚫 Remove Ads" button to open the purchase sheet, then tap "Restore Purchases". Your purchase will be detected and restored automatically — no account or sign-in needed.

I bought Remove Ads but I'm still seeing ads. What do I do?

Try the "Restore Purchases" step above first — it fixes most cases, especially after reinstalling or switching devices. If ads are still showing afterward, email us at hello@compassandcrane.com with your purchase date and receipt (from Apple or Google) and we'll sort it out.

Does my progress sync between devices?

No — PicPeekaBoo has no account system, so your streak, collection, and best scores are stored only on the device you're playing on (in local storage). If you switch phones, that progress won't carry over. Your Remove Ads purchase is the exception — it can be restored on any device via "Restore Purchases," since Apple/Google and RevenueCat track that separately.

I found an incorrect answer, mislabeled photo, or other content bug. How do I report it?

Email us at hello@compassandcrane.com with the category, the item name if you know it, and what's wrong. We review and correct content regularly.

How do I turn ads off completely?

Endless Rush is the only mode with ads (never in Daily Challenge, never inside a puzzle, never on your first session). The one-time $2.99 "Remove Ads" purchase — available from the home screen — turns them off for good.

How do I request a refund?

In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. For refunds, contact Apple Support (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play Support directly. If a technical issue caused the problem, also email us so we can help.

Where do the photos come from?

All 902 photos are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under open licenses. Full attribution for every photo is available in-app under Photo Credits.
